The tournament could use a little flavor, so it was nice to see the Spain upset today. Also nice to see was Blaise Nkufo, future Sounders forward, getting some PT in a bigtime game that was won by Switzerland.
Also, Diego Forlan showed one of the best performances of the tourney, bringing Uruguay a much needed victory over South Africa in Group A. If Mexico hopes to get out of the group, they need to beat France, as Uruguay doesn’t look like they’ll be content with 2nd place.
